Eldoret

Eldoret is another of Kenya’s major cities, situated in the Rift Valley Province. The town is the administrative capital of Uasin Gishu District. The City is linked to Nairobi and other parts of the Country via a railway line and roads.

Eldoret is an important center for commerce and trade. The city is home to a large number of businesses and prominent industries include; textiles, machinery and food processing.

The town is almost self-dependent and is served by a number of good hospitals, banking services, supermarkets and an airport. The Eldoret International Airport is one of the key airports in Kenya.

The airport caters mainly for cargo flights which carry export agricultural commodities such as flowers from the Rift Valley and Western Kenya. The town is also home to Moi University and a number of colleges.
