Dese

Dese is one of Ethiopia’s largest cities situated to the north east of Addis Ababa. The City is situated in the Amara (Amhara) administrative region. The town has an estimated population of over 100,000 people and is an important center for trade, commerce and local industry.

The town is home to a number of agricultural produce markets and there are also a number of local craft stalls. The City is linked to Addis Ababa via a highway. Buses provide a frequent means of transport between the two.
